This class discusses newborn care following delivery, what to expect during your post-partum stay for mom and baby, security measures, newborn medications and procedures, rooming-in, and advantages of breastfeeding.This class discusses newborn care following delivery, what to expect during your post-partum stay for mom and baby, security measures, newborn medications and procedures, rooming-in, and advantages of breastfeeding. A video on home and car safety will also be shown. **It is highly recommended to complete the Childbirth Preparation class after attending Baby Basics as these two courses compliment each other. If for some reason you are unable to attend, reimbursement will be given only if notification occurs 48 hours prior to the beginning of class by calling 563-421-7794.
Wayfinding
- Park in the North Parking Ramp next to the Heart Center.
- As you exit the ramp, look right and go into Medical Office Building #2.
- Follow the hallway straight ahead and around the corner to the Interconnect Lounge.
