This past Memorial Day, employees and leaders from MercyOne Des Moines honored the Sisters of Mercy by cleaning their graves at Woodland Cemetery. They also displayed beautiful flowers, arranged by Boesen the Florist, at the gravesites. After this thoughtful tribute, the flowers were then transported to the Bishop Drumm Retirement Center, in Johnston, bringing joy and summer beauty to the residents there.

“Our residents are absolutely thrilled with them and have been enjoying the vibrant colors and fresh blooms,” said Adam Braden, Executive Director. Bishop Drumm shares a special connection with the Sisters of Mercy, as it has housed many past Sisters of Mercy. MercyOne Des Moines Foundation was delighted to see the joy the flowers brought and will be sure to continue the tradition next year.
