MercyOne Cedar Falls Medical Center has reached a major milestone in surgical innovation: its 500th robotic-assisted procedure. In less than two years, orthopedic surgeons Christopher Eagan, DO, and Jason Stanford, DO, have helped hundreds of patients regain mobility and return to the activities they love—using advanced robotic technology.

“This achievement reflects our commitment to precision and patient-centered care,” said Dr. Eagan. “Robotic-assisted surgery allows us to deliver better outcomes and faster recovery for our community.”

Robotic-assisted joint replacement offers:

  • Smaller incisions and less pain
  • Greater surgical accuracy
  • Quicker recovery times, so patients can get back to work, family, and hobbies sooner

MercyOne Cedar Falls is one of Iowa’s leaders in robotic orthopedic surgery, thanks in part to support from the MercyOne Northeast Iowa Foundations, serving Cedar Falls and Waterloo, which helped fund this cutting-edge technology.
