George Gura, DO specializes in internal medicine at MercyOne Ankeny Internal Medicine.
“I enjoy helping my patients, especially those with conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol,” said George. “I also help patients achieve healthy living through preventative care, weight loss and regular screenings.”
George received his doctor of osteopathic medicine from Des Moines University and completed his residency at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. He shares a lifelong interest and follows his father and grandfather into the medical profession.

George enjoys traveling, movies and music. He also does the New York Times crossword puzzle every day.
