Spiritual Care

At MercyOne, we understand that spiritual and emotional care is as important as medical care when it comes to healing the mind and body. Across MercyOne locations, through the partnership of chaplains and volunteers, we offer spiritual care and pastoral services to our patients and their families.

As Catholic hospitals, MercyOne celebrates Mass and provides Holy Communion and other sacraments for Catholic patients and their loved ones. In addition, the Spiritual Care staff offers non-denominational, ecumenical services and programs and can assist in making the sacraments of your church available to you during your stay at a MercyOne hospital.

Spiritual Care Services, Mass Locations and Times

Our Spiritual Care teams provide comprehensive programs and are sensitive to the diverse ways individuals and families seek to utilize spirituality and religious practice when faced with life transitions. Chaplains partner with the members of the interdisciplinary team so that institutions can effectively address the spiritual needs associated with acute/chronic illness and disability. Chaplains are available to extend support for the journey toward healing and wellness.
