August 8, 2024Black Hawk County, Iowa; Aug 9, 2024 – Black Hawk County Public Health, MercyOne, Peoples Community Health Clinic and UnityPoint Health have launched a community health survey seeking input on health needs, gaps and community strengths.
The survey is part of a larger assessment that will lead to a report on health assets, needs and disparities. After summary data are released in early 2025, the 19 organizations in the Black Hawk County Community Health Improvement Steering Committee will develop and monitor plans to address priority areas.
All Black Hawk and Fayette Counties adults are encouraged to complete the confidential, anonymous survey online at this link or request a paper copy from Black Hawk County Public Health at (319) 291-2413. The survey is open in multiple languages until the end of September.
Kaitlin Emrich, director of Black Hawk County Public Health, emphasized the survey's importance, stating, “Everyone benefits from the collaboration between public health and healthcare because we’re all invested in understanding the community's health needs and moving collectively to address the priority issues identified from the assessment.”
