Alan Dostal is a Physical Therapist at MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center.
“I’ve experienced some traumatic injuries myself, so I understand how hard it is to put in the work to a successful recovery,” said Alan. “At MercyOne, we have a good team working together to help you meet your goals.”
Alan studied at the University of Iowa where he earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with an emphasis in motor control. He earned a master’s in physical therapy from the University of Iowa. Alan is certified as a yoga teacher and as an ergonomic assessment specialist.
Outside of work, Alan has a small acreage and enjoys caring for the land. Alan is family oriented and strives to set a good example for his kids to be active and healthy in their own lives and as part of their community. Alan is a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, serves as an assistant scoutmaster with his son’s troop and enjoys theater, cycling and martial arts.
