Jeffery Sugandi, MD, PharmD is a breast surgeon at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center and MercyOne Cedar Falls Medical Center.
“I really enjoy interacting with patients and their families, getting to know who they are and their stories,” says Dr. Sugandi. “It’s an honor to be able to help my patients during one of the most difficult times of their lives.”
Originally from Indonesia, Dr. Sugandi received both his medical degree and doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Ariz.
“After completing my residency in 2019, I went home to Indonesia and worked with my father who is also a surgeon,” said Dr. Sugandi. “This experience was very rewarding, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity.”
In 2021, he returned to the United States and pursued additional training in breast surgery oncology at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York.
