Kalei Huper, CRNA, is an advanced practice registered nurse specializing in anesthesiology at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center. She works alongside physician anesthesiologists and other CRNAs to provide comprehensive care for individuals with acute and chronic conditions. Procedures include:
- General anesthesia
- Monitored anesthesia care
- Labor epidurals
- Spinals
- Peripheral nerve blocks
- Arterial and venous line placement
Prior to becoming a CRNA, Kalei worked at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center as a critical care nurse. She's excited to return to Mason City and use her advanced anesthesia practice skills in an area that needs more specialized providers. She's trained in both rural and urban areas with thousands of patients requiring anesthesia care.
Kalei's a reflective, values-driven, collaborative and patient-centered health care provider. Her empathy allows her to connect well with you and your family as a provider you can trust.
Outside of work, she enjoys baking, cooking, playing tennis, traveling, doing puzzles, spending time with family and friends and relaxing with her husband and dogs on their farm. Because she can spark up a conversation and “gab” with anyone, her nickname is “Gabby.”
