Katherine Rucinski, DNP, is a nurse practitioner specializing in electrophysiology at MercyOne Iowa Heart Rhythm Center West Des Moines.
I strive to educate my patients so they can make the best decisions for themselves and their family members. I also like to have open communication with a collaborative approach so shared decision making can be achieved.
Family is my most prized possession and I enjoy spending time with them. I spend a lot of time outside with my kids and dogs staying active. All I need is my family and some warm weather to be happy.
My background with home visits sets me apart from other providers. Being able to listen to people within their home gives a much deeper understanding to health challenges, which I have been able to bring with me to the clinic setting. I can anticipate what barriers may be present for accessing their health care needs.
