I was hesitant, because I had never been to him before. I have hearing issues so my daughter usually goes with me to appointments. He explained and answered any questions that I had. Did not seem in a hurry. Both my daughter and I liked him.

Doctor McCormick is great but if I call Mercy One Heart Center to try to make a change in my appointment it's most difficult to get to the appointment desk.

Introduced himself as a GENERAL CARDIOLOGIST (he repeated this several times). All this by way of saying he is not the person I needed to see. He did review my meds and did an EKG - but I'm very frustrated that my condition was not recognized in advance and forwarded to the appropriate specialist. Dr McCormick is a pleasant and competent professional - just not what I needed.

Very short visit for seeing me for the first time. He had looked at the records because he did talk about other appointments with other Iowa Heart Doctors and testing. Asked some questions about medications and did not feel that he understood what I was asking.PRt of the problem was me.
