Changes to Medicaid are coming


Stay connected to understand how they may affect you and keep your Iowa Medicaid, Hawki, Medicaid, South Dakota CHIP Program, and BadgerCare Plus coverage.

Don’t lose your health coverage. Follow these steps:

ID card Make sure your state’s Medicaid agency has your current contact information. They will tell you if you have to do something new to keep your coverage.
envelope letter Check your mail for an important status letter from the state. It will include your next steps and any forms you need to fill out.
clipboard with check Complete and return any forms you receive right away (if you get one).

Don’t delay. Be sure your contact information is current.

If you lose or are denied Medicaid or CHIP coverage, you can apply for affordable coverage at Health Insurance Marketplace - Healthcare.gov or at MNSure.org (if you live in Minnesota). You must apply within 60 days of losing coverage.
