Specialized programs. Focused expertise.
- Bariatric surgery services include surgical weight-loss procedures of Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy and lap-band.
- Breast surgery services include biopsy, lymph nodes, mastectomy and lumpectomy.
- General surgery services include treatment options for both pediatric and adult patients in the treatment of:
- Gastrointestinal System (Stomach, Intestines, Liver, Gallbladder, Appendix, and Rectum)
- Endocrine System (Thyroid, Parathyroid, Pancreas, and Adrenal)
- Skin and Soft Tissues o Hernias and other common conditions
- Oncology surgery includes treatment procedures for melanoma, pancreatic, live, colon, gastric, esophageal cancer and porta catheters for chemotherapy. The only program in Iowa offering a fully minimally invasive esophagectomy.
- Colorectal surgery includes minimally invasive treatment for inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancers.
- Endocrine surgery includes specialized surgical care for thyroid, parathyroid and other endocrine conditions, including thyroid cancer.
- Advanced treatment for reflux, hernias and swallowing disorders, including LINX®, with one of the first programs in Iowa.
