The annual MercyOne Katzmann Breast Care and the MercyOne Richard Deming Cancer Center Breast Symposium will be held April 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center East Tower Auditorium, 1111 6th Ave., Des Moines.

The theme for this year’s symposium is empowering patients and families in the cancer journey. The event features up-to-date information from providers active in caring for breast cancer patients. This program is intended for all health care professionals and individuals interested in the ongoing care and concerns of patients who have survived breast cancer. Breast cancer survivors are encouraged to attend. The event is open to the public.
