The goal of mammogram awareness events like these is to promote breast health and early detection of breast cancer among women in the community. "A mammogram is more than a screening - it's an opportunity for women who may not have the resources to put their health first. Early detection opens the door to hope, healing, & and more tomorrows,” said Megan Entwisle, supervisor of breast services.
Women who meet the age requirement and have concerns about the costs of a mammogram are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to receive a free screening at the designated MercyOne locations.
