Haleigh Jackson, DPT, is a physical therapist at MercyOne Newton Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, specializing in pelvic floor therapy.
“It’s so rewarding to see the change in confidence of my patients when they can manage their symptoms on their own,” said Haleigh. “I love the sense of community and teamwork that comes with this role.”
Haleigh received her bachelor’s in movement and exercise science from the University of Northern Iowa and her clinical degree in physical therapy from Briar Cliff University.
“Once I learned about pelvic health physical therapy, I felt truly passionate about what I was learning,” she said. “Most people typically think this specialty is only associated with women’s health issues, but everyone has a pelvic floor! I treat women, men and children to control urinary, GI and pelvic pain symptoms tha keep them from participating in their normal activities.”
When not at work, Haleigh can be found sewing and thrifting. Together with her husband, she enjoys weightlifting, binging Netflix series and traveling.
