Melissa Clark, ARNP, is a women's health provider at MercyOne Waterloo OB/GYN who has been caring for patients across the MercyOne system since 2003. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from Walden University in Minneapolis and joined MercyOne Waterloo OB/GYN in 2010.
Melissa is passionate about helping women feel comfortable discussing sensitive health concerns and believes every patient deserves compassionate, judgment-free care.
"Many of the reasons you might seek care from an OB/GYN can be hard to talk about," Melissa says. "I consider it a privilege to partner with you to find solutions to your health concerns. I always provide a safe space for you to talk about your concerns."
Her clinical interests include pelvic health, an area she is especially passionate about. Melissa takes a collaborative approach to care, recognizing that each patient's experiences and goals are unique.
"You know your body, so I make it a priority to listen to you and make you feel heard," she says. "I provide care that is meaningful to you and empower you to care for yourself no matter what stage of life you are at."
Melissa holds certifications in pelvic health and dry needling and is also a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), allowing her to provide specialized care and support for patients with a wide range of women's health needs.
