Dr. Roberto Velez always wanted to become a doctor. His father was an ordained Presbyterian minister who worked as the evangelical chaplain at a large tertiary care hospital where the chief of nursing was his great aunt. His father and great aunt were instrumental in exposing Dr. Velez to the medical field. They showed him how science can be applied to impact people’s lives in a meaningful way. Dr. Velez chose to practice in obstetrics and gynecology because he enjoys the rich blend of medicine and surgery. He feels delivering babies is just the icing on the cake.

Explain what was happening and explained what to look for if I were to have any problems. Plan to see in a year just to keep on top of things.

Dr. Velez has been my ob/gyn provider since 1998. He has always been an excellent provider, and at my last appointment I experienced the same exemplary level of service that I have had each time I have seen him.

Dr. Velez was very kind to me. He explained everything to me. Dr. Velez called me to let me know the results of my biopsy and explained the next steps. Very thankful I have him as my Doctor.

Dr. Velez was great. He made me feel like he was actually there for me and cared about my situation and how I felt. For once, I didn't walk into a doctor's office with the feeling of wasting someone's time with something that wasn't important to them.
