At MercyOne North Iowa Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) we provide services for women of all ages and stages of life. From adolescence to menopause, our MercyOne OBGYN team focuses on all aspects of women’s health care. This may include annual preventive care, pregnancy and postpartum care or helping you navigate menopause. Also, if you should need specialized procedures, such as minimally invasive surgery or cancer treatment, we are here for you.

In addition to in-person care, we offer virtual visits (telehealth). Like in-person appointments, virtual visits let you talk to your provider at a time that works for you. Contact your provider to ask about this care option.

Prenatal care for high-risk pregnancies

If complications arise before, during or after pregnancy your care team has the experience and immediate access to specialists. Our pediatric hospitalists in our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit assures you of receiving the very best care.

Labor and delivery

Our patients labor and deliver exclusively in our family-centered MercyOne North Iowa Birth Center. We have experienced obstetricians, family medicine residents and advanced trained nursing staff who provide you and your baby with safe and personalized care.

At the birth center, we provide hospitalists who are full-time medical health providers. Their top priority is helping you deliver your baby and taking care of you after delivery until you return home. A hospitalist doesn't see patients in clinics or perform general checkups. Their primary role is to assist with births around the clock at the birth center.

We have an experienced international board-certified Lactation Consultant on site available to meet with you before you deliver, during your stay and after you leave the hospital. She will offer you support with feedings, answer all of your questions and help with any challenges you may have.

Infertility

At MercyOne North Iowa, our OBGYN physicians provide helpful solutions for you. Our services include:

  • Fertility planning, counseling, and evaluation
  • Laparoscopic and hysteroscopic (minimally invasive) surgeries
  • Ovulation induction

We take pride in providing holistic, patient-centered care and look forward to the opportunity to help grow your family.
