Right Care, Right Place, Right Time

When you’re sick or hurt, it can be tricky to decide where to go to receive care. Of course, you want to make sure you get help and feel better as quickly as possible, but different situations require different levels of medical attention. Your primary care provider’s office, for example, can help diagnose strep throat. They can’t perform emergency surgery, however. At the same time, you wouldn’t want to take up resources at an emergency department to treat a minor stomachache.

MercyOne wants to make sure you get the right care at the right place, at the right time. Watch this video to learn when it’s appropriate to seek help at your primary care provider’s office, an urgent care or convenient care location, or an emergency department.
