MercyOne Genesis Pharmacy Residency
The MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center PGY-1 residency provides comprehensive training opportunities for residents in acute care, clinical pharmacy practice and pharmacy administration. Core rotations include internal medicine, infectious disease, critical care, ambulatory care, oncology, informatics, medication safety, and practice management and leadership. Elective rotations are available in cardiology, ambulatory care II, critical care II, internal medicine II and infectious disease II. A teaching and learning curriculum with multiple precepting opportunities are available through partnership with University of Iowa College of Pharmacy.
MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center is a prominent regional referral center for Eastern Iowa and a proud member of Trinity Health. As a Level III trauma center, we are equipped to handle complex emergency cases and provide specialized care across a wide range of medical disciplines. Application and Interview Process
Candidates should complete an application through the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS).
Requirements for Application:
- Registration with the National Matching Service (NMS)
- Eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa

- Three reference submissions within PhORCAS – There are no specific requirements, but personalized comments are encouraged. Separate letters will not be reviewed.
