Plus, it's available in 18 different languages.

Labor and delivery
As our patient, you'll experience labor and delivery exclusively in our family-centered MercyOne Waterloo Birth Center. Supported by skilled obstetricians, midwives, family medicine residents and our specially trained nursing team, you’ll receive personalized, compassionate care focused on your safety and comfort.
When to choose your baby’s provider
It’s recommended to start looking for your baby’s doctor three months prior to your due date. MercyOne has both Primary Care Providers - who take care of your whole family - and Pediatricians, who specialize in care for newborns to adolescents.
Our certified lactation consultants have education and resources available for you regarding breastfeeding and/or pumping, including a breastfeeding support group. We assist with many challenges or questions that may come with breastfeeding, including but not limited to:
- Clogged ducts
- Developing a feeding plan that works for you and your baby
- Difficulty latching
- Engorgement
- Improving your baby’s latch
- Low milk supply
- Maintain, increase or decrease your milk supply
- Mastitis
- Sore or damaged nipples

Infertility
Our OB/GYN care team provides help and support to those wanting to grow their families. Each of our providers can help with infertility, and several providers are certified in FEMM.
