Dedicated preceptors: Our team of experienced preceptors plays a crucial role in shaping pharmacy residents into competent, confident and independent practitioners.  

Customizable rotation schedule: We offer a flexible learning experience schedule that allows you to select either an ambulatory or clinical pharmacy focus once you’ve completed the required core rotations.  

Schedule

After completing your orientation learning experience, you’ll participate in staffing on an every-other -weekend basis, along with two holidays.  Remote project days are given after weekend staffing shifts to provide a more balanced work-life experience.

  • Acute Care Pharmacy Practice/Residency Orientation (6 weeks)
  • Internal Medicine I (6 weeks)
  • Family Medicine (6 weeks)
  • Practice Management (6 weeks)
  • Antimicrobial Stewardship (2 weeks)
  • Cardiology (6 weeks)
  • Acute Care Pharmacy Practice (52 weeks)
  • Residency Project (52 weeks)

Selective learning experiences

Clinical pharmacy selectives  

  • Internal Medicine II (4 weeks)
  • Critical Care (4 weeks)
  • Emergency Department (4 weeks)

Ambulatory pharmacy selectives  

  • Medication Management (4 weeks)
  • Geriatrics (4 weeks)
  • Infusion/Ambulatory Oncology (4 weeks)  

Electives

  • Other learning experiences may be arranged depending on your interests and preceptor availability.
