Mason City woman meets her twin great-great grandbabies at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, 72 years after the birth of her own twins
November 25, 2025A Mason City grandma is feeling double the love after the birth of her twin great-great-grandbabies, born 72 years after she gave birth to her twin sons at the same hospital.
On Sunday, Sherry’s granddaughter welcomed twins Taytum and Teagan into the world, doubling the family’s joy this holiday season. Parents, Bria Ott and Cooper Reason, are from Nora Springs.
In 1953, Sherry Zurn left for the hospital, unaware that she was pregnant with twins. To her surprise, she gave birth to sons Gary and Jerry. Sherry will be feeling lots of love and a little déjà vu this holiday season.
