Our Mission

The Mercer Foundation for Health was founded in 1990 as a not-for-profit IRS 501 (C)(3) Corporation. The mission of Mercer Foundation for Health is to assist in providing the best possible health care for the people of Mercer County area. The primary focus is to acquire financial support in the form of gifts, deferred gifts, estate plans, grants, endowments, and bequests to provide this assistance.

A Community Effort

The Foundation helps the community to become knowledgeable and supportive of its ongoing challenges to keep pace with advancing standards of health care and in the acquisition of associated equipment and facilities. It also provides educational opportunities and builds partnerships with the people it serves. Since 1993, Mercer Foundation for Health has provided over $2,317,000 in funds to the hospital for remodeling, equipment, and upgrading some rooms/areas within the hospital. The residents of Mercer County generated these funds by supporting the Foundation. It is the goal that this tradition of giving continues. By its very nature, the work to enhance and expand the hospital's medical services is a community effort which will enable our hospital to continue to provide high quality, compassionate care.
