How Ion™ Works
Ion™ uses an ultra thin catheter capable of 180° articulation paired with a 3D map of your lungs generated from CT imaging. Physicians navigate like a “GPS system,” following real time imaging to reach nodules across all 18 lung segments for biopsy.
Who Is a Candidate?
You may benefit from Ion™ if you have:
- A suspicious lung nodule on CT scan
- Small, peripheral nodules difficult to reach with conventional methods
You’ll undergo a CT scan to map your airways, then a minimally invasive biopsy while under anesthesia. Most patients go home the same day.
